FTP tips and tricks: It is a good idea to compress your files before sending them to the FTP site. This is especially true if you are sending an application file and associated links. Font files are almost always damaged by FTP transfer. WinZip, StuffIt, and the Mac Archive utilities all work very well for file compression. PDF files and .JPG files do not usually require compression. TIFF files will not be damaged by the transfer, but compression will dramatically decrease the file size. For security reasons, the general FTP user account can not see any files in the site, including their own. If you need to re-upload a file, please rename it or an error will occur. Only the FTP administrator can delete files. Please give your sales representative an e-mail or call after you have transferred files, to let us know the job is ready to proceed.
